Halil Karaveli on Deutschlandfunk radio about his book “Why Turkey is Authoritarian”

October 15, 2018: Halil Karaveli was interviewed by the German radio station Deutschlandfunk (1:49) about his new book “Why Turkey is Authoritarian: From Atatürk to Erdogan”.

“Turkey is a warning example: It shows us how to eliminate the political left when the political right manages to transform class struggles into cultural clashes, by exploiting the alienation between the uneducated rural society, as well as  working class and the urban elites”
