Mr. Frank Esparraga holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics & International Relations from the University of Notre Dame Australia. Whilst living in Australia, Mr. Esparraga completed a traineeship at the New South Wales Parliament and also worked in the non-profit sector. He has also studied at Uppsala University and Boston College, MA. Directly prior to joining ISDP, Mr. Esparraga was a Research Assistant at the Swedish Defence University (Försvarshögskolan) in the Department of Security, Strategy and Leadership. His focus at ISDP has been with the Stockholm China Centre where he has worked on projects concerning the security implications of the Belt and Road Initiative as well as Maritime Security in the South China Sea.
