Guðbjörg Ríkey Th. Hauksdóttir is a PhD student at the University of Iceland in Political Science. She is currently researching China-Russia Arctic relations, and has previously researched the Belt and Road Initiative‘s political impact on small states. More recently she has been researching with another scholar, Egill Thor Nielsson, Chinese investments in Iceland and local discourse on Chinese investments.
