Ms. Sharon De Cet is an intern at ISDP’s Stockholm China Center. She is currently undertaking a master’s degree in European Affairs at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo) in Paris, with a focus on Europe and Asia in Global Affairs. Ms. De Cet graduated from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Foreign Languages and International Relations, focusing on China Studies. For her thesis, Ms. De Cet researched on Taiwan’s transition to democracy and cross-strait relations under Tsai Ing-Wen’s presidency.

Ms. De Cet gained valuable professional experience working at the Confucius Institute of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, where she was responsible for outreach and event coordination, cultural and exchange programs as well as the promotion of Chinese language and culture in Italy. Furthermore, she spent six months at Tsinghua University, Beijing, where she was enrolled in the faculty of Chinese Language on a full merit scholarship. Along with English and Mandarin, Ms. De Cet speaks French, Italian and Spanish.
