Stephen Crowther is a Master student in Political Science at Stockholm University. His specialization is in global security and European populism. The focus of his thesis is studying Denmark and the Netherlands comparatively, to assess the impact of populist parties on liberal democracy in the two countries.
Prior to his studies in Sweden, Mr. Crowther worked at an investment management firm in London, where he assisted with broker relations and the supervision of external research provided to fund managers.
Mr. Crowther holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Warwick. His topics of focus were the impacts of globalization and US foreign policy.
At ISDP he will be working in the China Center, focusing on security and economic issues related to China’s rise and the opportunities and threats this poses for its neighbors and political relations further afield.
