Anna Wieslander spoke at GLOBSEC 2024 about the lack of an EU defense strategy
September 3, 2024: Anna Wieslander, Chair of the ISDP Board, spoke at GLOBSEC 2024 in Prague about the lack of an EU defense strategy.
She spoke on a distinguished panel discussing “Tomorrow’s Threats, Today’s Priorities: Setting the EU’s Defense Strategy”.
One of her main points was that presently, the EU is lacking a defense strategy. Any attempts to build one must recognize the reluctance of most member states to transfer sovereignty to the EU in the area of defense.
