Transatlantic Perspectives: Global Companies and Trade in 2021

In this webinar, Erin Ennis will discuss how U.S. multinational companies such as Dell have been affected by the pandemic as well as global trade uncertainties and recommendations for how the global economy, including governments and businesses, should move forward. 

Erin Ennis is Senior Director for Global Public Policy at Dell. In this position, she leads the company’s international and global public policy work, including international trade. Prior to joining Dell, Ms. Ennis served as Senior Vice President of the U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC) from 2005 to 2019, she directed USCBC’s government affairs and advocacy work for U.S. companies and oversaw the organization’s business advisory services. Ms. Ennis previously worked at Kissinger McLarty Associates, an international consulting firm, working with international business clients on trade matters, primarily in Vietnam and Japan.  

From 1992 to 1996, Ms. Ennis was a legislative aide to former U.S. Senator John Breaux, working on international trade and commerce. At the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative from 1996 to 2000, Ms. Ennis worked in Congressional Affairs on Asia issues, and as the assistant to Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Richard Fisher, who led U.S. trade negotiations and enforcement measures with Asia and the Americas, as well matters concerning intellectual property rights. A native of Louisiana, Ms. Ennis has a BA from Mount Holyoke College, where she currently serves as a trustee and a master’s in International Affairs from the Catholic University of America.
