Arthur Ding quoted on South China Morning Post on Taiwan’s new structures in Taiping

September 20, 2016: Arthur Ding, Associated Research Fellow at ISDP, was quoted in the South China Morning Post article Taiwan’s new facilities in Taiping Island may have military use.

“Sensitive as they may be, I don’t think it would greatly escalate the tension in the region, given that Taiping is controlled by Taiwan, which is considered relatively moderate over the South China Sea dispute.”
