China has issued a stern warning to the US and South Korea against “provoking confrontation” with North Korea. This comes after Washington and Seoul secured a landmark deal to counter Pyongyang’s nuclear threat. Beijing has condemned the pact, saying the Americans have ignored regional security and are insisting on exploiting the Korean Peninsula to create tension.
