Is the Future of Geopolitics Decided in Taiwan? Agust Börjesson participated in a seminar organized by Folk & Försvar

April 10, 2025: Mr. Agust Börjesson, Acting Head of the Stockholm Taiwan Center and Research Fellow, participated in Folk & Försvar’s seminar “Avgörs geopolitikens framtid i Taiwan?” (Is the Future of Geopolitics Decided in Taiwan?) on March 28, 2025. During the the seminar, four Swedish experts discussed different aspects of Taiwan’s significance to the world including cross-strait developments and military tensions, Taiwanese identity and foreign relations, Taiwan’s geoeconomic importance as well as its importance to the world economy. In his talk, Mr. Börjesson discussed Taiwan’s role in the world economy, focusing on the island’s advanced semiconductor industry.
