ISDP co-organized an international conference and associated workshop in Graz, Austria
On September 20-21, 2019, ISDP was one of the co-organizers, together with the University of Graz, Graz University of Technology and the European Japan Experts Association (EJEA), in the international conference Human-Centered Digitalization: How to Develop Next Generation of Humans and Robots for a Secure, Harmonic and Prosperous Future of Europe and Japan? in Graz, Austria at the Graz University of Technology. The conference featured several presentations on the first day and six parallel workshops on the second. Dr. Lars Vargö, Distinguished Fellow at ISDP convened the workshop The EU-Japan Strategic Partnership Agreement – Prospects for Future EU-Japan Cooperation on Cyber Security and AI.
Presenters in ISDP’s workshop were Dr. Wilhelm Vosse, Professor at the International Christian University in Tokyo and currently a visiting fellow at the University of Warwick with “Cybersecurity and AI: Core Drivers for the EU-Japan SPA,” Mr Bernd Prünster, researcher at the Graz University of Technology with “A Holistic View on Digital Security,” and Erik Isaksson, Outreach Coordinator & Junior Research Fellow at ISDP with “Pushing Back: Shared Narratives in the EU-Japan SPA for a Rules-Based Internationalism.”
