ISDP received a delegation of Uzbek representatives

April 19, 2023: On April 17, ISDP received a delegation of Uzbek representatives led by Mr. Sodiq Safoev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Oliy Majlis (parliament of Uzbekistan), Ms. Dilorom Fayzieva, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Ties of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Mr. Eldor Tulyakov, Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center in Tashkent, and Mr. Nodir Ganiev, Charge d’Affaires of Uzbekistan to Sweden. The visiting delegation was received by Dr. Svante Cornell.

In connection with this visit, ISDP arranged a roundtable discussion on the topic of “The Essence and Significance of Constitutional Reform in Uzbekistan”.

The discussion focused on the most important aspects and contents of the constitutional reform being implemented in Uzbekistan and an analysis of foreign experience in implementing constitutional changes.
