ISDP welcomes Yi-Chieh Chen as a Junior Research Fellow

October 3, 2023: ISDP is pleased to announce the appointment of Yi-Chieh Chen as a Junior Research Fellow with the Asia Program.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Culture from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and a master’s degree in Global Studies focusing on migration studies from Gothenburg University in Sweden. Ms. Chen has a broad interest in East Asian affairs, global power dynamics, and soft power. Her research focus includes Taiwan-Nordic relations, cross-strait relations, international migration, and sports as soft power in the international space.

The ever-changing power dynamics between Asian countries in the international community continue to have global implications. I look forward to cooperating with international colleagues from the Asia Program to shed light on different important developments and changes in Asia.”
