ISDP welcomes Yi-Chieh Chen as a Junior Research Fellow

October 3, 2023: ISDP is pleased to announce the appointment of Yi-Chieh Chen as a Junior Research Fellow with the Asia Program.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Culture from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and a master’s degree in Global Studies focusing on migration studies from Gothenburg University in Sweden. Ms. Chen has a broad interest in East Asian affairs, global power dynamics, and soft power. Her research focus includes Taiwan-Nordic relations, cross-strait relations, international migration, and sports as soft power in the international space.

“I’m very excited to start my career at ISDP, which has an international working environment that will allow me to approach Asia-related issues from diverse perspectives. The ever-changing power dynamics between Asian countries in the international community continue to have global implications. I look forward to cooperating with international colleagues from the Asia Program to shed light on different important developments and changes in Asia.”
