Mats Engman participated in the European Security Seminar-North organized by the George C. Marshall Center

September 25, 2023: Mats Engman, a Distinguished Military Fellow at ISDP, was invited by the George C. Marshall Center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen to make a presentation and join a panel discussion on Artic security at the European Security Seminar-North. The presentation focused on two parts: the first was an assessment of the current security dynamics in the Arctic, and the second part was on what action the Arctic Council seven (not including Russia) could and should pursue to mitigate some of the current challenges. His recommendations revolved around Governance issues, resources and capability, and risk management.
