Niklas Swanström Participated in ISPI’s Online Roundtable

May 18, 2020: ISDP’s Executive Director Niklas Swanström participated in ISPI’s online roundtable on the topic of the future of China’s global outreach after Covid-19. The other speakers were from Bruegel, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Clingendael Institute, ISPI, and the South African Institute of International Affairs.

In answering a question from the audience about a possible independent investigation into the origin of the Coronavirus in China, Niklas Swanström said: “There will be an investigation, but it will not be the independent investigation that the international community is looking for as this could criticize the Chinese leadership.”
