May 31, 2024: Niklas Swanström, ISDP’s Executive Director, was interviewed by TV4 on North Korea reportedly sending trash-filled balloons across the border.
“It is psychological warfare,” explains Niklas Swanström.
Niklas Swanström believes that the attack is a reaction to the fact that civil society in South Korea has sent balloons with information to North Korea in the form of k-pop, movies, pornography, and propaganda,
“North Korea has reacted strongly to this. They have now said that they sent the balloons in response to the dirty propaganda sent by South Korea,” says Niklas Swanström.
