The prosecution will be the first of its kind, but according to Svante Cornell, this type of crime has been known for decades.
It is not an approach unique to the PKK, says Svante Cornell, and the fact that the PKK has not been prosecuted before is partly because it has not been a priority issue for the Swedish and European security services.
