Dr. Niklas Swanström, Director of ISDP, will participate in the 7th Xiangshan Forum in Beijing on October 10-12, 2016. This year’s theme is “Build a New Type of International Relations through Security Dialogue and Cooperation”. Dr. Swanström will participate in a panel discussion on Maritime Crisis Management & Regional Stability.

Dr. Niklas Swanström, Director of ISDP, participates in the 2016 CICIR Forum in Beijing on October 10-11. During the Forum, Dr. Swanström will participate in a panel discussion on the Asia-Pacific Security Situation and Strategies.

On October 7th, 2016, Dr. Lars Vargö, Distinguished Fellow at ISDP, gave a presentation on Japan and Japanese society to the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions.

“North Korea thinks there will be one chance with the next (U.S.) government (…) Every government has their ambitious goals, and if the next government solves the sticky North Korea nuclear issue, then it’s huge, a big achievement.”

On September 22nd, the Institute for Security and Development Policy posed the question “Where is Turkey headed after the failed coup?”.
