Hiroki Sekine
Former Visiting Fellow
Mr. Hiroki Sekine is a former Visiting Fellow at ISDP. He was Director of the Policy and Strategy Office for Financial Operations at JBIC from July 2016 until June 2019, and more recently, Senior Advisor to the Corporate Planning Department at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). During this time, Mr. Sekine led an internal taskforce to facilitate a trilateral partnership between the U.S., Australia and Japan, aimed at enhancing infrastructure development under the Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy. His research interest includes geopolitics in the Indo-Pacific region and the future geopolitical implications of climate change. He received his master’s degree in Finance from the London Business School.
