Paulina Filkowska is a PhD candidate in the Doctoral School of Social Sciences in Toruń, Poland. The dissertation title is The Collective Security Treaty Organization as a regional collective security system. The main research goal of the doctoral dissertation is to determine the role of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in creating a regional system of collective security in the post-Soviet area. Her primary interests are collective security and security in Central Asia and in the post-Soviet area.

During her stay at ISDP, she plans to examine the conditions of the security environment in the post-Soviet area after 1991. The proposed topic is related to the dynamically developing situation in the region.
