Pierre Erik Gunnarsson

Dr. Pierre Erik Gunnarsson is a Senior Research Associate with a long career within EU institutions. He is a former Director of Performance Audit at the Swedish National Audit Office, a project leader of major collaborative projects, and an alumnus of the Session Europeenne d’armament.

He has managed international cooperation for more than 20 countries, assuming responsibility for evaluation and monitoring within the EU’s foreign assistance and security nexus.

Dr. Gunnarsson’s particular interests are geoeconomics and governance of international assistance, defense and security operations, and defense acquisition.
